Joel and Julie will get you wondering about birds and based on what you know, having fun creating one of your own.
About the Workshop
Discover curious things about birds such as how 'bird brains' are really quite magnificent and beaks are cleverly designed for certain activities, and then let your imagination take over and create your own bird using mixed media. Materials are supplied and you will be guided into a fun exploration in paint, paper and other media.
About Joel Cunningham
Joel lives and works in Sydney, Australia. He has a Bachelor of Visual Arts with First Class Honours. Joel has been a finalist in a number of major art prizes within Australia, has had solo shows in Sydney and Melbourne, and co curated group exhibitions and continues to show his work throughout Australia and internationally.

About Julie Cunningham
Julie lives and works in the Shoalhaven. Julie has a Masters of Fine Art and as a mixed media artist, has over forty years of experience within the visual arts, in design, film, digital art, animation, painting and other media. She also curated “BIRD”, a mixed media exhibition with accompanying events in 2018 as a part of the Jervis Bay See Change Festival. Julie has been working on Arts Springs for Wildlife and holding the vision for it since 2020.
